The town of Tarifa, in Cadiz province is very significant because it is the most southerly tip of the Iberian peninsula and the European continent. Opposite stands the Tarifa African continent.

KITESURF SPOTS

One of the best places to practice kitesurfing in Spain is situated on the beaches between Tarifa and Cadiz. Costa de la Luz given directly to the Atlantic Ocean provides the best conditions for the waves arriving with full force on the shores of Cádiz. Large waves especially in winter when there is time in the Atlantic.
Especially in the period from autumn to spring are the waves at TARIFA clean the entire coast. On good days the height of the waves can reach up to 1.5 m -3. There are six main areas of between Tarifa and Cadiz Kitesurf:
 













 

- The secret place (at the end of the dunes, past Casas de Porro. Is reached by the military road leading to the tip between the dunes and Bologna)

- Yerba Buena (3 km past the road in Barbate Canos de Meca)

- La Barrosa, Roche (Go west of El Palmar and follow the signs to Camping Roche)

- El Palmar: about 60 km from Tarifa towards Cadiz. Waves of left and right, better with mild winds from the west. This beach is west and waves up to 3 m tall. THE WIND

- El balneario: (west of the port of Tarifa). With strong waves of south or north-east, this beach has excellent conditions. Be very careful with the rocks on the beach and the east winds, sweeping sea.
- Playa Los Lances: Most surfers in Tarifa water gets into the right side of the Isla de las Palomas in Playa de los Lances. Caused by the shape of the bay the waves arrive here with all the strength to break the bank of Tarifa. it is very clean. The waves are generally not very high but they serve well to learn and improve your skills in this sport. When the tide is the best time to go.


- Caños de Meca (last Vejer de la Frontera on the left)
